   Hi Lucas….Asian folk opera. What do you know about the form so far? Recall we decided that your theatre practice had to have research potential. Let me outline your individual goal by restating the questions: In order to choose a theatre practice you must be able to locate a script. I can help once you have found a title, as the others have done, but I will not be deciding if there exists such a script. Have you located a title yet? Next, you must be able to identify how Asian Folk Opera is a legitimate practice by either the a playwright associated with it, or some political/social movement or an acting style. If you can find a title and identify how it is a practice, then you can move forward. Otherwise you are wasting your time.
   There are other forms that involve music such as German Opera, Do you know of the Three Penny Opera?
   This is Kurt Weill who I think you would find provocative. He wrote Mack The Knife. Ask your parents about him.
   This opera is a well known play. Let me know what you think. JEF

      It’s not the Asian part, or the Opera part that interests me, it’s that it has more modern music in it, non classical. I’ve studied enough opera for my liking having played classical music for 12 years. The problem isn’t finding a script it’s finding a script available here, and in English. There are plenty of titles, playwrights etc., it’s all there, I just need it here. In terms of picking a practice, I just don’t want to be studying some old dead guy/gals play. I study enough dead people while playing music, or being in english class or HOTA or whatever. I just need something that has to do with music (because that’s what I’m interested in studying) and something modern. Yeah?
